new game

So i decided to stick with Unity for now, and this time I want to make a horror game loosely based from the first sci fi book I've read and is currently my favourite book.

Hyperion Cantos, and the shrike. The shrike in the Hyperion Cantos is a fucking menace, like the bird its named from, it impales people on this tree of pain. Long story short its strong and it can time travel.

For my game however, I obviously can't just blatantly copy it. I will try to keep the name. The name of the game will be "The Shrike" and its front cover will resemble the godfather cover. Where the shrike with its mettalic head and glowing red eyes and the camera is pointed towards his chin making it seem like he's looking up, the background will be in black with a sort of vignette.

I don't have an idea of what the entire premise of the game is. But what I have so far is the environment and how the game is gonna be played. It will be in first person in a brutalist environment similar to control. The shrike entity will know where you are at all times, but won't immediately attack you. You run through this brutalist interior with long drawn out hallways and giant corridors. I think i'll have enemies but I don't know what kind or how I'm going to do it all.

I just know some of the lore I came up about the shrike, he'll have a sort of humanoid figure if looking from the front, but that's because of his silhoutte, he actually is nearly flat but when viewed from the side it all portrude out with sort of living metallic texture/skin. The only "3d" part of it is his head, with its skull like appearance and glowing red eyes. It's basically a god that can teleport. Anyway, I'll sleep on this idea and expand on the concept. Also I watched that barbie movie, it was quite fun.
