This week was pretty long, I had a midterm for discrete math and oral presentation for my ethics class. I'm pretty sure I did well on both. Aside from that I didn't do much.
Let's talk about my personal projects tho. So I've been confiding with chatgpt about behavioral graphs for ai in games. Remember behavior trees? Yeah so its an alternative to that. Not sure if its a legitimate thing, but I want to explore it a bit. The basic rundown is that instead of a structured hierarchy in behavior trees, behavior graphs in more of a complex graph like structure. What this means is I can use A* on a behavior graph and have complex relationships in terms of each node against another. This works for large ai behaviors, which I plan to use in my rimworld-esque game in the future - hopefully.
I'll keep you updated on that project. Anyways good night and have a good week.
